When a child is born in Wipperfürth, Germany, in most cases it becomes a fantastic brass player. For Peter (*1990) this is definitely true. In addition, he improvises, arranges, composes and takes care of the good atmosphere in the ensemble.
At the tender age of four Peter started his career playing the trumpet. Among his teachers were Matthias Wagemann, Martin Wagemann and Mathias Müller. Peter completed a pre-study programme at Folkwang-Hochschule Essen with Prof. Uwe Köller as his tutor before starting his Bachelor studies with Prof. Jeroen Berwaerts at HMTM Hanover. He has won first prizes at “Jugend musiziert” several times and was member of the National Youth Orchestra. After a two-year period in the Acadmey of the Bamberger Symphoniker, Peter took on the position of trumpet soloist at the Hamburg State Opera in 2013/2014. In early 2015 he received the third prize in the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory Competition and a scholarship from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe. Since the beginning of 2016 Peter has been principal trumpet at the Konzerthaus Berlin.
As founding member Peter has been with Salaputia Brass since 2007 and with Salaputia Brass Connection since 2011.
